Project Director on Mozambique National Radio
Radio Mozambique, which transmits all over Mozambique , recently did an interview with Dr. Lidia Mondlane, Mozambique Director of the Mozambique Canada Maternal Health Project.
Dr. Mondlane reported on the awareness work being done on women’s sexual health by the Project in communities and schools. She described how in schools they work with both teachers and students in understanding gender and its impact on women’s sexual health.
In the community outreach work educationals are being conducted on gender issues, and domestic violence. Special attention is spent on the role men could play in supporting good maternal health initiatives.
This opportunity for Dr. Mondlane to speak on Radio Mozambique communicates awareness on maternal health issues throughout Mozambique.
